Dogs in Ireland

Jack

  • Male, standard
  • Smooth, black & tan
  • Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland
  • 5 years old
  • Neutered

Sadly Jack is looking for a new home as his owners are struggling to manage his behaviour with two young children at home. He was rehomed to his current home when he was 1 year old and nothing is known about his history before this.  He is dog reactive and can be aggressive towards unknown dogs.  At home he is lovely with the children and his family, His owners feel he’ll be happier in a home with older children (14 plus) and no other pets.

He is currently not walked frequently due to his reactivity. He has shown signs of anxiety when left (toileting, door scratching, barking) which has been managed by crating him when he is left.  New owners will need to be aware of this as a potential issue and be willing to help Jack overcome this.  He does live with a cat which he doesn’t pay much attention to, but will chase unknown cats in the garden.

His owner describes Jack as very affection and loving human interaction.  He especially loves a snuggle on the sofa or in bed.  He loves a walk in open spaces (such as the beach or forest) but struggles with his behaviour towards other dogs.

Bruno

  • Black & Tan Smooth Haired Standard Dachshund

  • Belfast
  • Neutered
  • Adoption Fee £250

Bruno was imported from Czech by his previous owners and rehomed due to personal reasons. Unfortunately his current owners are moving abroad and they can’t take him with them.

Bruno is very affectionate to people he knows bit can be reactive to strangers coming into the home which will need strict management. He is also reactive to dogs. As such we are asking for an adult only, no other animal home.

His new owners will need to be willing to work with Bruno to help him overcome his issues.
